Where can we see you perform live?
We hold live showcases once a month in Burwood. Bookings are essential. Parking is easy and free. Starting time is 8.30pm. Please visit our ‘Enquire’ page to find out when the next viewing is being held or call or email for more details and to book your place. These nights can be very busy so please book early. Also, please note that we only allow one couple per wedding date at each viewing to avoid any conflicts!

How do I book?
Simply give us a call or email all the details of your function date and venue. We’ll get back to you immediately with our availability and a quote, then simply lock it in with a deposit and we’re all yours! The balance is due on the day of the function.

Can you hold my date?
Unfortunately, not. We get lots of bookings online without the showcase so we’d be silly to turn those down! First in, best dressed. However, if you’re super-dooper keen and just want to see us live first, just let us know you would like a call if someone else wants to book your date out from under you. That way you get an opportunity to book us before they do.

What are the main styles of music you play ?
We usually start the evening off with popular jazz and swing, as well as ballads. As the night progresses, we move into some funky r ‘n b to get everyone thinking about that dance floor! After the bridal dance, once the dance floor has been officially opened, we play all dance music from the 80’s, a bit of 70’s disco, a few rock n roll (for the oldies!) and some Top 40 – think Blame it on the boogie to Black eyed Peas, or Lounge to Lady Gaga!

Can you MC for us?
Yes, we provide an MC service to you free of charge! What this means is that we take care of all announcements including: Introductions, Speeches, Cake-cutting, Bridal dance, Farewell circle and anything else that needs to be done to keep your night running smoothly. If you have your own MC, we still help keep them on track and guide them through the night. We also have a brand new, quality wireless microphone for you to use for speeches so you can conduct speeches at the bridal table.

Can Boutique be extended out to a 4-piece band?
Most definitely! We add in a saxophone or keyboard player which compliments the line-up and the sound perfectly. Additional charges apply.

How much space do you need?
Ideally, for the trio we require a space of approximately 5 metres across and 3 metres deep to accommodate for lighting and speaker stands. If your space is smaller, we can usually figure something out – give us a call.

Can I choose which songs you play?
Sure thing! What we suggest is to choose a few songs that you would really like to hear during the night, as well as any you want us to avoid playing, and leave it to us to read your crowd the rest of the time. We never play the same songs to every audience, instead we cater to what your individual group seem to be into as the night progresses.

How much do you play? How many songs or for how long?
A standard wedding booking is for a 5-6 hour function. In that time, we play just as much as we can, based around meal service and your formalities. That would generally work out to approximately 4×45 minute sets. During breaks we play fantastic mp3 party music to keep everyone dancing. From the moment your function starts, there will be continuous music playing to perfectly compliment each part of the night.

How far out from my function date do I need to book?
6 – 12 months for peak season (September – April). However, even if your function falls during peak time and you’ve left booking entertainment till the last minute, please check with us to see if we’re available. You could be lucky! It’s a good idea to allow 6 months booking time for the winter months.

Do I really need to attend a viewing when I like what I’ve seen and heard online?
Not at all – in fact, we’re finding that more and more people are booking us straight from the website. Afterall, life is busy enough, let alone finding the time to traipse all over town to see bands. Sometimes that process can leave you more dazed and confused than before you started. Some clients like to secure their date first, then attend a viewing later. And if it’s any consulation, we are told time and time again that we sound even better live than on the website.

What about the bridal dance?
We are happy to learn most songs if you can’t find what you’re looking for on our list. If you need help choosing a song we can certainly help you with some suggestions.

There’s a song I really would like you to play but I can’t find it on your songlist.
Our full songlist is massive! We can’t include every song we do on the website, so please ask us to check our archives. If it’s relatively well known, it’s usually no problem for us to learn it just for you.

What do you wear for weddings?

We always wear very sophisticated, elegant outfits to perform at weddings.  The boys always wear a smart suit and I wear an evening dress.  We usually wear all black and very similar to what you see on this page of the website.

Please feel free to email or call if you have any other questions and we’ll do our best to help.
